You & Me…

You’re telling me you think we’re just like day & night
I thought that’s exactly what you always liked
So now – to you -- the differences don’t feel so right
And we can never be together

You & Me…

You would always tell me we were just like fire and ice
And I was very naughty but you were so nice
Why’d you have to listen to your friend’s advice
Don’t you think you know much better

You & Me…

I would always make you happy when you were sad
And I could make you laugh when you got so mad
There was never any question ‘bout what we had
Two different points of view, it’s true!

You & Me

It never made much difference to me

Me & You

We were as different as different could be

You & Me

You were you and I was so me

Me & You
Together, we were meant to be

BREAK:  You & Me…

Black and white, day and night
Up and down, left and right
You like fish and I like steak
I’d speed up, you’d start to brake
I’d drive fast, you’d go slow
I’d get high, you’d stay low
I’d stay home, you’d go out
I would whisper, you just shout

Arguing, making love, looking down or up above
Our differences made it fun

Begin different made us one

 You & Me

We never made any sense to me

Me & You

We were different as we could be

You & Me

You were you and I was so me

Me & You

Together, we were meant to be

You and me, me and you, you and me, me and you

There are some people in relationships that appear to be completely opposite of each other.  Many times, these relationships are doomed to fail because they are so different.  Some couples, like the one in this song, embrace their differences and find joy in the relationship.  More power to them!  The very first recording had no serious lyrics, just a chorus throughout the entire song.  I was also considering a duet, but I changed my mind.

REVIEWS

John Nicole pretty much invents a new genre of music with this track. The closest I can come to describing it is that it's pop infused with an industrial rhythm. The result is incredibly catchy and great fun!

Zack Daggy

"Me & You" is a somewhat lazy track contrasting the polar opposites of two lovers; the writer clearly hoping for the "opposites attract" saying to be true. While not as memorable as other songs discussed later on in this review, it is a good set up for what is to come and lays the cards out on the table; heavy use of keyboard percussion, vocal dubbing and back up singers, and notable  instrument performances common to the other 16 tracks in various places.

What a playful and bubbly song! Loved it...found myself just swinging side to side to the music and in the end...telling myself that the differences really do not matter. All you need is love...
